I began my journey with my first Reiki training over 33 years ago and had no idea what a profound effect Reiki would have on both my personal healing and professional career choices. Reiki guided me to leave the corporate world and become a healer, helping others deal with chronic pain and seek solace from a chaotic and hectic world. Reiki has also guided most of my major decisions in my life, as I was guided to become a massage therapist in 1998, began teaching Reiki in 2005, and entered the ICRT Licensed Teacher Training Program in 2020.
In addition to Reiki, I have been a licensed massage therapist since 1999 in the State of Rhode Island. I have a BA in Psychology, a year of graduate school in Chinese medicine and acupuncture, and a year training in Psychology Energy Protocols, which incorporates tapping techniques from EFT - Emotional Freedom Technique, and TFT - Thought Field Therapy™. In addition, I have studied Animal Communication, working with one’s Akashic Records, and numerous bodywork modalities including neuromuscular, myofascial, pregnancy massage, aromatherapy, craniosacral, Lomi Lomi, Ashiatsu, and LaStone Hot Stone Therapy, just to name a few.
I realize that not everyone can do classes over a whole weekend. I have been creative in designing classes around difficult schedules, and I encourage those who have challenging schedules to contact me to discuss your unique situation and let’s see what we can work out. I also teach private Reiki classes for those students that are drawn to experience a unique and deeply healing private tutorial time together. We will develop a customized schedule together to complete your training. Reach out to me to get that information as well.
For the Summer and Fall of 2025, I will be offering some classes that do not follow the normal full weekend format. Some of them include:
Usui/Holy Fire® III Reiki I & II:
Dates: Monday and Wednesday, May 12 & 14, 2025.
Times: 9:30 am ET to 7 pm ET both days.
Usui/Holy Fire® III Reiki I & II:
Four Monday morning sessions:
Dates: June 2, 9, 16, and 23, 2025
Times: 9 am ET to 2 pm ET every day.
Usui/Holy Fire® III Reiki Master:
Five Nightly Sessions
Dates: Monday through Friday, September 29 to October 3, 2025.
Times: 5 pm ET to 10 pm ET each day.
There will be other classes as well, so check back to my website for further information and updates.
On a personal note, my pups Rascal and Darla are a big part of my practice, as they are present when I do my online sessions and when I teach online. Additionally, I love to paint and incorporate Reiki energy into all my paintings. One of my favorite projects is painting heart ornaments which are then infused with Reiki energy. I then leave them in public places for people to find with the intention that they will spread the love and joy of Reiki. To date I have painted over 800 hearts and have a “Hearts Across America” project in the works to have hearts dropped in every state on the same day!
