ICRT Licensed Reiki Master Teacher Program

LRMT Student Teacher Program Availability: Up to fifteen student teachers are in the LRMT training program at any one time. While completion of our program is limited by access to our senior licensed mentor teachers, remember licensing is not necessary for you to be a quality teacher of Reiki. If you wish to dedicate your life to becoming a Reiki Teacher, we encourage you to pursue Master Teacher training through our LRMTs, become a professional member of the Reiki Membership Association and begin your teaching and Reiki business as first steps.

The ICRT Licensed Reiki Master Teacher Training Program (LRMTTP) is a comprehensive, multi-year mentorship and apprenticeship for Reiki Masters who feel called to deepen their relationship with Reiki and teach it professionally.

This is not a casual accreditation — it’s a profound commitment to personal, spiritual, and professional growth. Over approximately three to four years, student teachers complete 1,000 additional hours of study, practice, and teaching under the guidance of senior Licensed Reiki Master Teachers (LRMTs).

Only a small number of student teachers are accepted at a time to ensure personalized mentorship and the highest quality standards.

History of the Program
The LRMTTP was created by William Lee Rand, founder of The International Center for Reiki Training (ICRT).

As William’s Reiki classes grew, he found himself unable to meet the demand and began looking for other Reiki Masters he could confidently refer students to. He asked himself an important question: “How can I ensure that the teachers I recommend offer the same quality class that I do?”

The answer became the Licensed Reiki Master Teacher Training Program — a structured path designed to ensure consistent quality, integrity, and professionalism among those teaching under the ICRT name.

Today, LRMTs around the world continue that vision: providing exceptional Reiki training rooted in compassion, integrity, and excellence.

Overview
The LRMTTP is designed for dedicated Reiki Masters who wish to teach and practice Reiki at the highest professional standard. While an experienced LRMT mentors each student, the heart of this program is learning to apprentice directly with the energy of Reiki itself.

Graduates of the program are licensed by The International Center for Reiki Training (ICRT) to use the ICRT name and logo, teach official ICRT-licensed classes, and issue ICRT certificates.

You can read the full program details in the LRMT Program Manual.
