For more than 30 years, Reiki practitioners from different traditions, lineages, and locations around the world have gathered with the shared intention to connect, learn, grow, and celebrate the healing light that unites us.

In 2027, the International Reiki Retreat begins a beautiful new chapter at Mount Madonna Center, a serene mountaintop sanctuary. The property features miles of beautiful walking trails through redwood forests, serene meadows and magical sunset views overlooking the Monterey Bay.

This immersive three-night retreat will bring together a diverse group of Reiki teachers, practitioners, presenters, and novices for a weekend designed to nourish and expand you personally, spiritually, and professionally.

Refund Policy
Cancellations made at least ninety (90) days before the start date of the retreat will be
refunded, less a $500 administrative fee. After ninety (90) days, no refunds will be permitted. 
Please note: The online retreat fee is non-refundable.

The Mount Madonna campus is centrally located in California, with close proximity to Silicon Valley, Santa Cruz, and Monterey, and near to the greater San Francisco Bay Area. It features 380 Acres of forest and grasslands. The land is also home to Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple, a unique spiritual place.

Driving Directions

Airport: The closest commercial airport is San José Mineta International Airport in San Jose, California, with San Francisco International being the second closest. Oakland International Airport and Monterey Regional Airport are also options, though travel from Monterey can be slightly more complicated with shuttles.

Blue Water has a large fleet of vehicles, including private cars, vans, and shuttle buses, and will arrange transportation according to your needs. Ride-sharing through them is also available.

Pets
Pets are not permitted. Only service animals, as defined by the ADA, are allowed and must remain harnessed, leashed, or tethered at all times.

Policies

  1. Quiet hours are observed from 9:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. Activities may continue during quiet hours so long as they proceed at low volume and do not disturb other guests or residents.
  2. No illegal substances, firearms, or fireworks are allowed on the premises.
  3. No meat, alcohol, or pets (except ADA individually trained service animals) are allowed on the property.
  4. The Center campus is at high risk of wildfire during the dry season. We ask that all guests be vigilant of fire danger and report any occurrences immediately.
  5. Smoking is not allowed on the property, except in the designated locations. Candles, incense, and sacred smoke are only allowed in approved locations and while supervised.
  6. Guests may not bring their own food to the Center. If you have special requests, please speak with the Center, and we will do our best to determine a solution.
  7. Nudity is not permitted where visible to the public.
  8. All guests shall behave in a kind, considerate manner in relation to all the Center’s residents, staff, and other guests. 
  9. All guest vehicles shall be parked in designated guest parking areas.
  10. Additional cleaning fees may be charged if a guest causes damage or leaves a meeting room or accommodations in an excessively dirty state beyond standard turnover service.
