My daughter, Shanynn, gave birth to my second grandson March 26, 1999. I was with her throughout the labor and would like to share another use for the technique of psychic surgery/aura cleansing taught in the Center's Advanced Reiki Training program.
Shanynn arrived at the hospital around 8:30 in the morning, she was definitely in "real" labor so they admitted her immediately. I was doing Reiki on her and she was very relaxed and not feeling stressed even during contractions. However, the baby simply wasn't turning into the proper birth position. At about 2:45 p.m. the nurse explained the position he was in and which way he needed to be.
I asked Shanynn if I could try something and she said yes. I began the procedure by extending my etheric Reiki fingers as we learned in Advanced Reiki Training, and very gently moved them into her womb. I then began a stroking turning method to help the baby get into the proper position. I worked quietly and very softly for about 15 minutes.
Shanynn felt another contraction and the nurse, said " I don't know what you're doing but this is the type of contraction we've been waiting for." The baby had turned and was now in the correct position. Landon was born at 4:06 p.m.! It was wonderful to observe the birth but knowing that this wonderful Reiki technique helped the process was priceless.
