Reiki of the Universe
by William Lee Rand

A Tribute to Beth Gray
by Amy Z. Rowland
Beth Gray was one of Takata's first masters. She was a wonderful teacher and a powerful healer and it is with pleasure that we feature an article honoring her and the teaching methods she used. Of special importance is the fact that she taught a unique method of using one of the second degree symbols in a way that gave access to the client's subconscious mind, thus allowing the practitioner to discover the emotional cause of illness which could then be used to affect a deeper level of healing. This is a very useful article and contains many examples of how to teach and use Reiki effectively. Included is a special message from Beth Gray.
Healing the Heart
by Walter Lübeck
The heart is perhaps the most important organ in the physical body and the heart chakra is likely the most important part of the energy body. Love is the central theme of the heart and it is through love that we absorb and utilize all the experiences of life in a healthy way. The article Healing the Heart provides deeper understanding about the relationship between the physical heart and the heart chakra and gives advice on how to use Reiki along with diet and other methods to heal the heart.

The attunement process is the heart of Reiki training and understanding its importance and how it works is necessary if we are to derive the greatest use of this wonderful gift. Harmony Between All Reiki Groups
by William Lee Rand
Harmony between all Reiki teachers and groups is needed if we are to effectively provide the healing the planet so desperately needs. Not only does this have value for the health of the Reiki community as a whole, but when one is in this state of mind and takes action to promote harmony between oneself and the other Reiki practitioners and teachers in ones area, ones own Reiki practice will improve as well! This article provides examples and outlines the steps one can take to heal difficulties and help you work cooperatively with the other Reiki people in your area.
Adventures in Giving
by William Lee Rand
Travel in India offers many possibilities for adventure and excitement. With 5,000 years of history, a powerful spiritual heritage and a mix of Third and First World cultures, there are always interesting and often exciting things to see and be a part of.
India has a population of one billion people, and about 400 million are middle class with an income comparable with that of Western Europe. There is also a small upper class of very wealthy people, which leaves over 500 million who are poor.
Begging is a national pass time and knowing how to help the poor in a way that is both benefical and safe sometimes requires insight and creativity. Join William as his intention to help creates an unexpected challange for which Reiki provides a unique and exciting solution.
The Movie Mystic
by Stephen Simon
The films discussed are not "reviewed" in this column in the traditional sense of that word; rather, we look at metaphysical messages in films, both current and classic. A chakra rating is also given to indicate the level of clarity the film portrays for each of the 7 levels of consciousness. Stephen Simon has produced such films as Somewhere in Time and What Dreams May Come.
Reiki Stories
These stories, sent in by our readers give real life validation to the practice of Reiki. Many include people who had serious illnesses and before and after medical tests that confirmed both the existence of the condition and the healing. They demonstrate the miracle working power of Reiki and inspire us to develop our skill and use our Reiki.
This is an exciting and valuable issue that will supply you with entertainment as well as quality information and instruction. If you have any suggestions on how the magazine could be improved, I'd be very happy to hear them.
The world is a wonderful place, filled with continual changes which bring with them a never ending supply of opportunities. May you grow in the ability to allow the wisdom of Reiki to guide how you create your life.
Love and peace to you and the world.
William Lee Rand,
President
