The Birth Chart of Jesus The Christ
by William Lee Rand

In the second chapter of Matthew of the authorized New English Bible we read: “After his birth astrologers from the east arrived in Jerusalem, asking, ‘Where is the child who is born to be king of the Jews?  We observed the rising of his star, and we have come to pay him homage.”  This is the first time the Bible has been accurately translated in its use of the word “Magi” which is from the Greek “Magoi” and means astrologers.  So we see that astrologers were the first to recognize the significance of Jesus’ birth and using their craft, knew exactly where and when he would be born.  They responded by traveling over 900 miles to pay him homage with gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

So what “star” did the astrologers observe rising that told them of Jesus’ birth and what was the exact date and time?  In the astrology of ancient Persia, the birth of a king was signified by a conjunction of Saturn and Jupiter; an event that happens every 18 to 20 years.  However, every 800 years these two bright planets come together in what is called a triple syzygy, dancing together in their apparent retrograde and direct motions and conjuncting three times over a period of eight months.

This astrologically spectacular event would certainly have alerted the astrologers to the birth of an unusually powerful ‘king,’ and such an event did occur in 7 B.C. and was made even more spectacular by the addition of several other bright planets.  However, as we all know, B.C. means ‘before Christ’ so how could Jesus have been born during this astrological event if it occurred ‘before Christ.’

The fact is that the B.C. calendar was created 500 years after the birth of Jesus by Dionysius Exiguus the Less who was not much of a historian.  He made several obvious mistakes.  We know from the book of Matthew that Jesus was born during the reign of King Herod and that it was in fact several years before King Herods death.  Since King Herod died in 4 B.C., Jesus must have been born in 6 or 7 B.C. which is what most biblical scholars agree on.

The traditional time of year to celebrate Christmas is December 25th, yet it is known that Jesus was not born on this day. The Church chose this day to celebrate Christmas as a way to interfere with the celebration of the Winter Solstice, a pagan holiday that was competing with the church.  (This was also done with Easter which is actually Ishtar’s day, another pagan holiday.)  According to the Bible, the shepherds were watching their flocks at night when the angel of the Lord came and told of the birth of Jesus.  Sheep were not kept in the fields during the cold winter months, so this makes a warmer time of year more likely.

A contemporary astrologer, the late Don “Moby Dick” Jacobs who was also a Methodist minister and Bible scholar has worked out the date and time of Jesus’ birth by combining historical, Biblical and astrological information.  His conclusion is that Jesus was born in Bethlehem, Judea on March 1, 7 BC (Julian) at 1:30AM.

This birth chart was calculated by Astro Numeric Service using a special “deep time” program.  It is perhaps one of the most powerful possible with a six planet stellium in Pisces with five oppositions to Pluto and five trines to Neptune.  This makes Jesus a super Pisces which correlates with the fact that for the first 300 years of the Christian era, the symbol of Christianity was not a cross, but a fish, the symbol of Pisces.

A stellium in Pisces in the third house is an indication of extreme focus, genius and brilliancy in the area of spiritual matters with strong emphasis on compassion and communication.  The oppositions to Pluto indicate the ability to transform others with compulsion which may be why he was crucified.  The trines to Neptune indicate great kindness, highly developed psychic ability and miraculous healing powers.  Sagittarius rising signifies a love of freedom and spiritual truth, and the ability to teach.

Those interested in giving birth to the Christ Consciousness within themselves may find meditation on this chart helpful.
