What readers say about "The Look of Love"
All email included here:
In the August edition of the Online Reiki Newsletter, we featured
an article about how to use Gyoshi
Ho, a technique for sending Reiki with your eyes, taught by
Dr. Usui. We received many successful reports about it's use and
here they are:
Dear Mr Rand,
I read your article about the look of love and thought it would
be very useful for me at my work.I work with children with learning
disabilities and behavioral problems. But I got the opportunity
to use it yesterday and not at school but at home with a friend;
this friend came to me very upset and angry, he wanted someone to
listen and give him advice. But he was so upset he just wouldn't
listen so I gave him the look of love. After a few minute's he calmed
down and after a while he told me he felt very relaxed and peaceful
inside. I then told him I had given him Reiki a and he was very
glad. I am now trying it with my daughters and herbs.
Have a Reiki-full day, Rose
Dear Mr. William,
I have an unique experience in terms of using Gyoshoi Ho. But let
me introduce my self. My name is Mimbar Bambang Seputro (47), male,
I live in Jakarta - Indonesia. While practicing Gyoshi-Ho to the
lower body of my wife, to my surprise she began complaining of an
unease feeling on her stomach so I have to stop the practicing.
The next day, the same story happened again. We went to see the
Doctor, and found a little mium (tumor) just about to start to develop
at her vagina. The tumor was removed now, then when I start with
Gyosho-Ho, no more pain complaining.

Dear William,
About 2 weeks after I received my Reiki Master attunement, I had
dealings with the woman where I have gone for the car safety sticker
annually for almost 9 years. She has never spoken except instructions,
never looked directly at me, always through or past me, and I could
not engage her in conversation although I always tried. This time
as she was writing up the paperwork, I looked at her face and with
compassion thought to myself, "What in your life is so terrible
to make you act like this?" My next thought was, maybe she needed
some Reiki. Instantly it felt like a tube of light about the diameter
of the small tire on a tricycle, went from my chest to her chest!
It was such a strong sensation that I actually looked down thinking
I might be able to see it! She looked up at me and began talking
about the weather, her husband, her children, etc. She even followed
me out to my car and continued to talk pleasantly until I drove
off. My husband couldn't believe it when I told him because he has
always had the same experience with her as I had prior to this exchange.
I didn't intend to do anything, but since I have read "The Look
of Love" article in the recent newsletter, I realize that Gyoshi-Ho
is what must have happened. Now that I know Reiki can be sent with
the eyes, I will definitely try that again.

HI William:
In response to how successful Gyoshi-ho is I would like to say that
I believe it works. I have been doing Reiki for only a few years
but I feel that I have already been using this method with out ever
learning it. Sometimes in stores I can sense where people hurt.
Often times strangers talk to me in public places and tell me there
ills. I guess they must sense that I am a receptive listener. :)
But the point here is that someitmes I like to send them Reiki but
lifting my hands and "beaming" them is not always an appropriate
thing to do with strangers in a public place:). What I do is send
them telepathic thoughts ,look at the area where they hurt as they
are telling me and "beam" them with my eyes and heart, verbalizing
the symbols in my mind. I will often see them then rub that part
and they seem to feel the energy that I am sending. I also put Reiki
into money when I go to stores or restaurants, especially if it
looks like the clerk/wait staff looks like he/she might be having
a bad day. I feel this Reiki charged money can go along way in a
day. IN these cases it is often difficult to say if it actually
had any results. I believe it does work and has to be better than
NOT sending any reiki at all. I have seen strangers smile after
I have sent them reiki via this method so I imagine it has achieved
something. Even a smile contains Reiki energy or healing energy.
It is all a matter of intent and WHATEVER we send out is felt whether
it be positive or negative. I visually "beam" the blind autistic
man with behavioral issues that I take care of all the time and
he noticeably relaxes. So I guess I can say this method IS successful.
So thank you for this question in your newsletter. It gave me insight.
It made me think about it on a cosnious leverl It also gave me confirmation
and drew my attention to the fact that I might want to send more
Reiki via this method.
Thanks again.
Take Care. Namaste Love and Light,
Cindy Corriveau Salem,CT.
Hello!
I'd like to share my own reiki-eye experience. It happend so naturaly
that I didn't noticed it at first. I was talking to my friend for
1 hour and we had very pleasent and interessting conversation. During
the talking I noticed that she looked a bit diffrent from moment
to moment. Her face just changed bevore my eyes. Untill that moment,
I didn't realised that this was Reiki at work. After the chat, she
send me an SMS in which she said how she has strong cleansing symptoms
as if she had a treatment. It was very good feeling. This happend
4-5 months ago, but the explanation came along little later. Since
then I'm trying to do similar and I think it's working. But not
that strong as that time since it was natural and sponteneous. I
advise others to try it, maybe they like it as I did.

Dear William,
Greetings from Trinidad & Tobago.
I have been in receipt of your Online Newsletters for several months
but this is the first time that I have felt impelled to correspond
with you in connection with one of your articles. This article is
"THE LOOK OF LOVE" dealing with the Reiki technique called Gyoshi-Ho.
This is what you wrote: "I encourage you to try Gyoshi-Ho, as it
is really a vitalizing way to send Reiki. I'm interested in what
you experience, so please email me about what happens" The experience
that I am about to relate happened on August 10th while I was on
vacation in Tobago - before I opened your e-mail which was sent
to me on August 9th but which I only read today and before I even
heard of Gyoshi-Ho. I considered this such a profoundly spiritual
and deeply-moving Reiki experience that I am doubtful whether I
could find the right words to convey my feelings and emotions. But
I will try. Here it is:
Friday August 10th was a beautiful, crisp, moonlit night. The home
at which I stayed is high on a hill and has an unrestricted view
of the surrounding landscape which can be fully appreciated from
a large open-air balcony. I have vacationed here annually for the
past ten years because of my close friendship with my hostess but
primarily because of the tranquility of the setting and the ambience
which is so conducive to relaxation and meditation. After dinner,
I found myself alone on the balcony and I quietly fell into REIKI
MODE starting my symbols and affirmations. I looked up into the
heavens and lo and behold! there was the round full-moon in a clear,
cloudless sky. Without conscious thought, I relaxed my eyes and
defocused them (in the manner of "parallel-viewing" of 3D stereograms
- one of my favorite computer activities).
A "second moon" (3D image) appeared above the actual moon but
to my amazement the light from the moon itself was beamed directly
to my heart chakra - like a funnel of light from the moon straight
to my heart. It was so unexpected and so startling I could only
describe it as a moment of wonder and awe - a totally humbling experience.
I felt suffused by the moonlight itself and I could feel the Reiki
energy taking on a new dimension while a trance-like feeling came
over me. I am not sure how long I "held" the moon-beam while I sent
distant healing to everyone I could think of. I was so overwhelmed
that I decided to retire for the night with that feeling of utmost
calm and contentment. But a surprise awaited me in my bedroom!
As I opened one of the drapes there was the moon shining unrestrictedly
into the room. I prepared for bed and settled down to resume my
"moon-beam" Reiki experience but this time with the aid of my CD
player and head-phones I decided to introduce some music. My meditation
was enhanced by Micah Sadigh's Hemi-Sync, Metamusic CD recording
of "The Journey Home" described as "Celestial music and Hemi-Sync
to transport you on a poignant journey beyond space and time. Enjoy
profoundly relaxing synthesizer music as you immerse yourself in
this inspired musical depiction of a soul's journey to the realm
of the Creator". I had been introduced to this type of music the
day before my vacation by another Reiki practitioner with whom I
share a great friendship. I drifted off to sleep with the music,
the moonlight, the Reiki energy and an unforgettable experience.
I shared the experience with my husband, also a Reiki practitioner,
and we both treated it with open minds as it was a "first" for me
but I felt deep down that it was another positive Reiki step on
my life's journey - then I read your article "THE LOOK OF LOVE".
Reading your article has given me the incentive to explore the technique
of Gyoshi-Ho as another healing technique whereby I could not only
draw light towards myself but hopefully channel it from myself to
others. I look forward to your comments, advice or suggestions.

Dear Master Rand:
Thank you very much for the August newsletter I have practiced the
new technique Gyoshi-Ho, and it is absolutely fantastic. I just
love it. Because English is my second language I'm not too good
in writing but thank again and the wisdom and guidance of God will
be with you every-day of your life.

Dear Mr. Rand,
I am a Reiki Master from Vermont. I just tried the Gyoshi Ho method
on my husband's sore back. He said he felt energy going up in his
brain and then down in his leg - the energy was going up and down
his body. He said it was easier to get up out of the chair and it
loosened up his back; "It does feel a lot better." Are the eyes
a chakra? Jesus healed with his eyes, thoughts, hands, etc. I could
feel my eyes in a way I haven't felt before. Perhaps it was concentration
yet, I felt the energy, too. It was really "neat" and I enjoyed
learning something "new!"
Thank you. Blessings, Michele
